Glass-insulated Microelectrodes

The electroactive core is completely sealed in glass allowing the electrodes to be used in strong acids and aggressive organic solvents. No glue or epoxy is used to seal it. The end-exposed electrode surface is polished into a microdisk. The electrodes have a length of approximately 8 cm. The electrode can be connected to a preamplifier with a microelectrode holder.

A polishing machine for renewing the surface of the microelectrodes is also available.

The electroactive core is completely surrounded by glass. Therefore, the electrodes can be used in strong acids and aggressive organic solvents. Available diameters and RG values are:

The carbon fiber is embedded directly in glass and the surface is polished as a micro disc. No polymers and no glues are used in order to isolate the core of the carbon fiber. Therefore the electrodes can be used in agressive chemical media like acids and organic solvents (methylene chloride, acetonitrile).
